Adobe has decided to end the Adobe Commerce 2.4.0-2.4.3 versions. It is to be done under the contract signed between Adobe and Magento. It offers quality fixes to the 2.4 release lineup until the end of the PHP version's support period to optimize our lifecycle policy. Customers can obtain quality repairs if their version is still qualified for quality support by contacting Adobe Commerce Support or using the self-serve Quality Patches Tool.

Even though a customer's version is qualified for the quality support, Adobe only offers security fixes through the most recent patch or security patch release. Security fixes cannot be backported to earlier minor releases or earlier patch releases within supported minor releases, in contrast to quality fixes.

Adobe offers hotfixes for all users on a supported version, even if they are not using the most recent patch or security patch release, for significant security issues like zero-day vulnerabilities. It is crucial to understand that a hotfix does not serve as a panacea and does not repair every security flaw that the most recent release would.

Adobe Commerce Life Cycle Policy

In the customer's Agreement with Adobe Inc. and its Affiliates, including but not limited to X.commerce, Inc. d/b/a Magento, Inc. (collectively, "Adobe") (the "Agreement"), the On-premise Software licenced as part of the Adobe Commerce (f/k/a Magento Commerce) Products and Services is governed by this Adobe Commerce Software Lifecycle Policy (f/k/a Magento Software Lifecycle Policy).

This Adobe Commerce Software Lifecycle Policy does not apply to any content, software, services, modifications, or other materials offered by the customer or a third party, to any implementation or other maintenance-related services for which the customer is liable, or to any material other than On-premise Software offered by Adobe to the customer according to the Agreement.

The Magento Open Source, Modifications/Customer Customisations, Customer Data, Customer Content, Third-Party Services, Third-Party Content, and Third-Party Extensions and Customisations are not covered by this policy. The customer expressly assumes all maintenance, including security and compliance. This policy does not cover that. Adobe describes its software version scheme as Major for its software support duties.

Customers must hold a valid subscription or license to Adobe Commerce to receive software assistance within the relevant support period. Adobe will offer software assistance. Until September 8, 2022, Adobe will continue supporting its 2.3 version line with high-quality fixes and security updates. Customers can obtain quality fixes using the Support team's contact information or the Adobe Commerce Quality Patch Tool.

Customers can receive security fixes by upgrading to the most recent security patch of the 2.3 release line. The 2.3 release line's earlier patch releases won't receive the security patches. Customers will no longer have access to Adobe support for quality fixes, and Adobe will stop releasing security fixes once a version or line hits End of Software Support. To continue receiving support, customers must upgrade to a supported version.

To provide customers additional time to migrate to the 2.4.4 version, which was decided to be generally available on March 8, 2022, Adobe Commerce 2.3's End of Software Support date had been moved up to September 8, 2022. Adobe will deliver quality fixes and security releases to its 2.4 release lineup until the end-of-life date of the PHP version it is based upon for Adobe Commerce 2.4 and later releases.

Customers can obtain quality fixes using the Support team's contact information or the Adobe Commerce Quality Patch Tool. Customers need to update the most recent security patch release to obtain security fixes. The 2.4 release line's earlier patch releases won't receive the security patches. Customers will no longer have access to Adobe support for quality fixes, and Adobe will stop releasing security fixes once a version or line hits End of Software Support. To continue receiving assistance, users must upgrade to a supported version.

Features Of The New-Released Adobe Commerce 2.4.4

Future-proof

The most recent technologies, including PHP 8.1, are used in the construction of Adobe Commerce 2.4.4 to increase site stability and guarantee your continued security, performance, and compliance. Instead of introducing new functionality through core code changes, standalone modular services allow for easier and less frequent upgrades and faster adoption. While easing technical responsibilities so merchants can concentrate on what's important, Adobe Managed Services and other expanded support options help customers maintain healthy, optimized sites that scale as their businesses develop.

Innovative

Adobe is advancing its leadership in headless commerce by expanding the GraphQL API coverage for several B2B and Admin services and introducing personalized content and promotions to PWA Studio. Access to novel merchandising, B2B commerce, experience management, payment, and cloud capabilities added in recent editions is also made possible by Adobe Commerce 2.4.4.

Scalable

The quickest and most scalable version of Adobe Commerce is 2.4.4. Take advantage of the adoption of PHP 8.1 to obtain up to 15% gains in speed on both the Admin and storefront, manage complicated catalogs up to 10 times larger than previously, process high transaction volumes over 5 times faster, and handle complex catalog confidence.

Conclusion

Extended Maintenance and Support is available for an additional two years after the conclusion of the Core Support Period for businesses who require more time to prepare for a migration to Adobe's most recent technology. Up to March 2020, Adobe LiveCycle continued to receive extended technical support.
